We started working on this in october 2010 whein tarun told me about joomla. It was noworriesbharat then, and the concept on which we were building this was counselling. It all stated as a counselling website and now it has been converted into a mega education website. We are providing notes, previous year papers, e-books, test assignments and lots of other materials to assist students in their studies. We have covered DPS Faridabad and many courses of Delhi University. In engineering sector we cover NSIT and are looking to establish ourselves in IIT. We provide NCERT solutions for maths and are planning to soon open a advisory board. Consultations have been started with various teachers for involvement already. We tried a lot of concepts for Smilyo, first one was counselling, then we tried tallent promotion, we tried to expose corruption, open discussion platforms and much more. Nothing else worked as efficiently as this notes business. I have a desire that someday impressed by our site Mark Zucherberg, 'creator of Facebook' calls us for a meeting. The movies, 'The Social Network' & 'Pirates of Silicon Valley' has been my inspiration.
We have formed a great team having 5 departments and are currently looking for more recruits as our workload has increased.

As far as stats are concerned we rank 4,109,264 in alexa ranking as of now. Smilyo is valued at $600 with an estimated yearly ad revenue of around $230. Google indexation has been very good as we have around 15,000 pages indexed with google, 110 with yahoo and 5 with bing. Our site is showcased in joomla.org Site showcase with a rating of 4/5.
We also run SWD 'Smilyo Website Developers' to generate revenue to meet expenses of Smilyo. Our first contract was www.fly-india.net We have a pretty good team with highly skilled and creative personell in SWD.
